Women’s March, New York City

On January 21, 2017, roughly 400,000 New Yorkers joined millions more worldwide in protest, following Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20th. The route began at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza near the United Nations and continued down to East 42nd Street and up 5th Avenue to Trump Tower. Protestors stood together in support of a variety of issues that face an unknown future under the Trump administration – from abortion access to Black Lives Matter to environmental justice to LGBTQ rights and more.
